DANIEL LAURIN
Partner

A seasoned consultant in Kitchen Design, Sales Training, and Operations, he is a distinguished Partner at SVS. With an impressive 28-year food service tenure, his journey began in 1993, overseeing DSL branch operations throughout Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Daniel’s career path led him to British Columbia, where he spearheaded a sales team to expand restaurant, grocery, and convenience store chain accounts. His broad experience spans various facets of food service design and equipment supply, and he has a profound passion for the industry, coupled with an intricate understanding of the distinct needs of individual operations.

In 2016, driven by his dedication and expertise, Daniel founded Hawksley Ventures Inc., a Manufacturers’ Representative Agency through which he has championed some of the most esteemed food service equipment brands globally. His portfolio boasts partnerships with leading names such as Garland Canada, Cleveland, Frymaster, Scotsman, Electrolux Professional USA, Winston, Tarrison, and Spring Induction. Daniel’s fervor for sustainable practices has guided his advocacy for green technologies, aiming to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of commercial kitchens, thereby offering significant cost savings for business owners.

His successful representation of EcoAzur products since 2018 highlights his commitment to eco-friendly innovations, earning widespread recognition and adoption among his clientele. Daniel’s comprehensive “concept to completion” service model has solidified his reputation as a trusted advisor and preferred partner among independent entrepreneurs, franchisees, and corporate entities within the foodservice industry.

BRIAN DODD
Partner

Brian Dodd brings over 40 years’ experience in the Hospitality and Service industry, with expertise in all areas of Hotel, Food Service, Catering Management, and Gaming operations. Born and raised in Ontario, the call to head west was strong and as a result, Brian has spent many years of his operations career in Western Canada with the Westin Bayshore, Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa, Panorama Resorts, Stoney Nakoda Resort. Previously with Mayfield Hospitality under contract to Great Canadian Casinos, Brian oversaw all the Food & Beverage Operations at their BC Racetrack Division at Hastings Racecourse and Fraser Downs, while assisting in the launches at the River Rock and Coquitlam Casino properties. The last 10 years have been in the Hospitality supply side with Geanel Restaurant Supplies in Calgary and more recently with Pacific Restaurant Supplies in Vancouver as a Senior Project Manager responsible for delivering major commercial kitchen installations and renovations at UBC, Vancouver Whitecaps, VCC, NVIT, and Gateway Casino projects. Brian brings his experience full circle in this new endeavor to bring added value to the Hospitality industry which he has worked in for so many years.
